Nailed It: The Easiest Gold Foil Nails for Fall

Gold foil nail art tutorial (for fall)

When paired with a rich metal, like gold, copper, or rust, pastels are easily making their way into the fall season. Pastels, I’ll never quit you.

And with that in mind, we put together a fresh nail art tutorial, specifically for fall that mixes those pastels that I will (probably) always love AND gold…DIY gold foil nails for fall. This do-it-yourself nail art is WAY easier than it looks and it’s super glam / unique.

Gold foil nail art tutorial (for fall)

Instructions

  1. Begin with your favorite base coat, and then add two coats of your favorite polish.
  2. While the polish is still tacky (don’t worry if your polish is quick drying, that’s fine) use a toothpick to add pieces of gold leaf to your nail polish, tapping lightly with your finger to make sure it is completely flat on your nail.
  3. Finish with a top-coat.

Not a fan of the light hues? Use a bold fall nail polish instead, like a deep forest green or a darker version of our grayish blue for a totally different look.

That was actually our first choice for these nails, Kiersten. But we had already done another forest green one (which will go live in the coming weeks) so we went with the powder blue.

Love it! I love metallic colours, also on my nails but I never saw that someone put gold foil on them! Have to try it:-)

Definitely would recommend giving the gold foil a go, Kali. So simple to do.

Hi Candace. You get gold foil at any arts and crafts store that would work. Or you get smaller amounts that are already flaked and ready to go on Amazon. Here’s the link: http://rstyle.me/n/bzcmxhmvmw Hope that helps.
