Okay. By now you know that I love the design challenges from UncommonGoods. And today I have a new one to share for all you artists out there. So get ready.
But first, if you don’t already know about the contests and challenges that UncommonGoods puts on, let me tell you a little about it… Basically, they offer great opportunities for artists and makers to get their work out into the world, win some cash, and partner with a company that focuses on unique & unusual handmade gifts.
Details: The Art Contest from Uncommon Goods is seeking entries of 2D digital captures including watercolors, acrylics, pastels, colored pencils, collages, digital art and more. The winner will receive $500, 5% royalties on a limited edition of 100 prints, and national exposure by being presented in their catalog, which has a circulation of 1.75 million. Oh yeah!
After the call for entries wraps up, the semifinalist designs chosen by the UncommonGoods buyers will appear on UncommonGoods.com where the online community will vote on their favorite pieces to move on to the final round of judging. The top 5 voted designs will be judged by UncommonGoods Associate Buyer Katie Gianonne, last years Art Contest winner Matthew Amey, and Danielle Krysa, who you know as the blogger behind The Jealous Curator. A winner will be chosen in late-April.
Enter to win right here before the deadline on March 31, 2013 at 11:59 EST. **Accepting work from U.S. residents only.
