Last year, I had grand plans to start some Paper & Stitch hashtags for Instagram, to bring together the P&S community in some small way without making it challenging to participate. Unfortunately, I never got around to it last year. But this year, I’ve been quietly rolling out P&S hashtags every so often. Maybe you’ve seen a few of them popping up on my Instagram?
But now I’m ready to make things more official and announce that I’ll be launching a new hashtag contest each month for the rest of the year, starting today! And the prizes are going to be GOOD. I pinkie promise. In fact, this first hashtag prize is a $250 shopping spree!
The first contest hashtag is #colorblockvibes but is a bit more open to interpretation than it may sound.
Basically, all colorful photos are fair game. Just make sure there are at least two colors in the image, so the color blocking will still apply. I’ve included some examples in this post to give you some color block inspiration, but feel free to interpret this hashtag any way you’d like within the guidelines of at least two (colorful) colors in an image.

The Rules:
Add @brittnimehlhoff and the hashtag #colorblockvibes to the caption of any photos or videos (with a colorful vibe) that you have personally taken throughout the entire month of March.
Any photos that fit the above requirements will be eligible to be featured on the Paper & Stitch blog once the contest is over (with proper credit to you of course), Instagram features during the duration of the contest (again, with proper credit) AND the chance to win a $250 shopping spree pretty much ANYWHERE YOU WANT!!! If a gift card can be purchased there, it’s fair game. Which means almost any online destination would be eligible, even small businesses (Etsy, Target, Anthropologie, ASOS, anywhere gift cards can be purchased). Winners choice! BOOM.
*Winner will be announced no later than April 4th on Instagram and will receive an IG message to prompt him or her to collect prize.*
If you have any questions about the rules or any other details, feel free to let me know in the comments. Can’t wait to see all of your colorful photos!

BrittniWhat a great post (and idea!). I love colour and my instagram feed has just that. The next time I’ll take a photo that will have a contemporary and colour block look, then I’ll make sure to add #colorblockvibes and @brittnimehlhoff Cool!

BrittniHow exciting is that, coincidentally by the end of Feb I started bringing more color to my feed! This hashtag couldn’t be a better idea as it’s perfect for spring:)
Marwa | Enthralling GumptionHi Erin! Good question. Yep, you can enter as many times as you’d like. Just be sure to include the hashtag #colorblockvibes and @brittnimehlhoff in the caption of the photos you’re submitting to the contest and you’ll be entered to win. 🙂
BrittniHow fun! Can we enter more than once?
Erin EllisGood question Michelle. Anyone can enter! International entries are welcome but prize value would be the equivalent of $250 USD in a gift card.
BrittniThis is such a cool thing, I love taking photos for a challenge! Stupid question: Is this limited to the US and Canada only?
