Found On…

It’s no secret that I am a SERIOUS bookworm.  Not only do I love to read, I’m obsessed with bookshelves.  I spend gleeful hours putzing around bookstores and libraries, and have more books on my “to read” list than you can possibly imagine.

So, it’s obvious why I just had to post this cascading book installation by Alice Martin, that I spotted on Black*Eiffel via DesignVerb.

To get the full effect – with a stream trickling below and the pages of the books fluttering in the breeze – make sure to check out the video.

That’s CRAZY!
Thanks for sharing.

Stunning! I’m between feelings of : “Oh my!, what did she DO to THE BOOKS!!!” and “Oh my! It’s so wonderful!” :)) Suffered a little because of the books, but it’s really beautiful!

WOW! That’s just crazy! I would love to see it in real life. I often don’t understand art installations, but this one I totally love 🙂

I’m with Daria on this one…It’s quite amazing to look at, but at the same time, the eco-nut in me is just screaming “WHAT A WASTE!!!!” I hope those all happen to be books that were in some kind of unreadable condition and destined for demise anyway….
