Jaime of Blue Stitch Books let me know about this great event that will be happening in NYC in a couple of short weeks. It is being put together by the {New New} York Street Team. If you are in New York, make sure you check this out. Here’s all the info:
WHEN: The Holiday Handmade Cavalcade will take place 10am ““ 5pm on December 6, 2008.
WHERE: The Knitting Factory, 74 Leonard Street, NYC, between Church Street and Broadway. Subway: 1/9 trains to Franklin Street; A/C/E, N/R, J/M/Z, and 6 trains to Canal Street.
Admission: FREE
A spunky newcomer to the indie shopping scene, the Holiday Handmade Cavalcade claims a simple mission: to invite people to rediscover the pleasure of giving the gift of something handmade. The one-day event will showcase more than 30 locally-grown purveyors of handmade goods. Shoppers looking to support local craft can fill up their holiday stockings by perusing three floors of jewelry and accessories, clothing, housewares, ceramics, paper goods, handcrafted soaps and bath products, and original artwork. Shoppers who arrive before noon will receive exclusive coupons for discounts at and after the event, and everyone who attends will have the opportunity to enter into a free raffle to win creations from participating vendors.
For more information on this event, please visit www.handmadecavalcade.com, or email handmadecavalcade@gmail.com.
And make sure you check out Jaime’s shop for great paper goods.
