16 Incredible Female artists You Should Be Following #femaleartist #artist #artwork

When it comes to women in the art world, there is aveo much talent out there it hurts. And with today being International Women’s Day, I’m celebrating with a list of 17 amazingly talented female artists, that I’ve had my eye on lately.

The former artist/art teacher in me swoons over the work that so many of these female artists are producing right now. And the future art collector in me hopes to own pieces from all of them someday. So, in no particular order, here are 17 incredible female artists, from around the globe, you should be following…

The work of Melbourne artist, Bobby Clark. Click through for more incredible female artists you should be following right now. #artist #femaleartist #artwork #abstractart

1. The balanced, geometric compositions of artist Bobby Clark satisfy all my minimalist dreams. Her use of white space paired with rich yet muted tones makes her an obvious favorite and, in my opinion, an obvious pick for a variety of design styles. Also, can we just talk about her incredible studio space? Follow Bobby Clark on Instagram.

Jesse Chamberlin Marble. Click through for more incredible female artists you should be following right now. #artist #femaleartist #artwork #coolphoto

2. My love of art goes well beyond paint and paper. Photographer Jesse Chamberlin Marble has a unique way of capturing and composing colorful imagery with incredible spacial awareness and quirk. If I’m looking for inspiration before a shoot, she’s definitely a go-to. Follow Jesse Chamberlin Marble on Instagram.

How unique is the work of artist Tammy Kanat? So incredible. Click through for more incredible female artists you should be following right now. #artist #femaleartist #artwork #abstractart #fiberart

3. I am dying to own a piece by Australian fiber artist, Tammy Kanat. Aside from just being all around talented (she started as a jewelry designer), Tammy creates every piece entirely by hand with extreme attention to movement, texture, and color, which I can always appreciate. Follow Tammy Kanat on Instagram.

Beautiful work by Jen Garrido (who you may know under her alter ego Jenny Pennywood). Click through for more incredible female artists you should be following right now. #artist #femaleartist #artwork #abstractart

4. Textile lovers may know artist Jen Garrido by her alter ego Jenny Pennywood, a small batch textile brand making amazing napkins, pillows, tea towels, and more. Follow Jen Garrido on Instagram.

Drawn into the work of Austin-based artist, Claire Oswalt right now. #artwork #art #femaleartist #abstract

5. I immediately feel drawn into the work of Austin-based artist, Claire Oswalt. It’s simultaneously calming and captivating, and her mixed media process makes me want to reach out and touch each piece. Don’t worry, I won’t press my greasy little paws to it, but I want to! Follow Claire Oswalt on Instagram.

Jessalyn Brooks. Click through for more incredible female artists you should be following right now. #artist #femaleartist #artwork #abstractart

6. Jessalyn Brooks’ work epitomizes the celebration of females, so of course she made the list! Her take on the human form has a tasteful, modern cubism vibe, which I love. Follow Jessalyn Brooks on Instagram.
