I am currently working on designing a home for a client, and we are having great fun with their pool bath. Because it is connected to the outside, and they have a traditional/industrial vibe join on, we are having the plumber create all the fixtures for that room out of copper pipe fittings. There are some great ideas out there, and if you’ve never thought about interior design in terms of a do-it-yourself project, maybe this is the time.
Copper piping is not just for your plumbing fixtures! If you’re not into figuring it out by yourself, there are lots of available options right off the shelf, including tables and light fixtures. But if you’re clever, you can create bookshelves, hanging racks, even use copper pipes for a sculptural piece. Depending on the intended use, you can use adhesive to attach the pieces, but remember that soldering them together is always the most sturdy option. Get some pieces and start playing ““ you never know what you may come up with!
