My husband and I tend to keep most of our pictures digital. I have my favorite family photos on either my phone or available through a cloud service. We have even scanned in our favorite old photos to have digital copies. But even though they are immediately accessible, we rarely look at them. So it’s still nice to display our favorites so that we, as well as our guests, can enjoy them on a daily basis. I really don’t want it to become a cluttered mess, so I love to look for great ways to display family photos in the home.
Although you can certainly add photos on every empty wall, some great effects can be made by corralling them in some way. Try including them in different frames within a bookcase, or create a mosaic along one hallway by using the same color frame in different sizes. Place a large photo on the wall above, and lean a medium one against it, adding a few smaller scattered pieces along with some accessories. Perhaps you can add a small ledge above a sofa back to show off those favorite images, or tuck them into an alcove where they become a welcome surprise.
What is your favorite way to display your family’s pictures?

Glad to hear that Cathryn. Let us know how you end up displaying them, if you get a chance.

What a fab post! I’m in the process of collecting together some family photos and other pictures so this is really helpful as I’m still trying to work out how to display them 🙂
