I know the countdown to Christmas is on right now, but I usually get so lost in this holiday stuff that I forget to share ideas for New Year’s Eve.
Despite the fact that most years Jeff and I literally do nothing at all for NYE, we always make plans to celebrate (and the ultimately decide to just crash at home with take out or something – living the exciting life over here). BUT I realize that the majority of people out there go do something fun and like to dress up for the occasion.
SO, I put together TWO lists for New Year’s Eve! If you’re headed out to a fancy party or a special dinner, I put together a handful of my favorite New Year’s Eve inspired outfits for you. AND if you’re staying in, I have a list for you too. Who says you can’t wear a cute sweatshirt while counting down on the couch!?
Who’s ready for another gift guide? There’s still time left to order those last minute gifts for the ones you love. And I have a few more suggestions that will work for almost anyone on your holiday list. There’s something bold for the baker or chef in your life, a fail-proof gift that I always give to the hostess at a party, something big (and something small) for the music lover, and more!
Plus, everything on the list is from one place, which makes it very easy to shop! AND you can get 30% off your online order with the code I’m gonna give you after the jump. Any guesses? You may be a little surprised, but everything on this list is actually from Cracker Barrel! I’ve partnered with Cracker Barrel to put together a list of great gifts that I bet you didn’t know they had – like KitchenAid mixers, Crosley record players, etc.

Every year, Jeff and I get a few new ornaments for our tree and add them to the collection we’ve been working on since we got together (plus a handful of ornaments from my childhood and his). I love the tradition of adding a couple of new ones each year. The only downside is, that year after year, our tree ends up looking really, really similar to the year before…because we use the same ornaments every year.
As much as I love that, and still plan to use some of the ornaments that we’ve had forever on the tree, I wanted to make some DIY batch ornaments to fill in for a new look. And today is the first one those ornaments! Click through to see how to make these DIY line drawing ornaments.
When I lived in Jacksonville, I would bake cookies with Jeff’s family every year, right before Christmas. And we’d all bring some that were already made too, so we’d have a TON of cookies to swap at the end of the day. And since moving to Atlanta a few years ago, I’ve really been missing those annual cookie swaps.
So, I talked to Cori and Jess about recreating a cookie / sweets swap of our own, as a team building exercise and partnered with Uber to make it all happen! Since none of us had to worry about driving, we were able to make spiked hot chocolate (yum)! And we just listened to Christmas music and baked for most of the day. It was so much fun. Though there were a few stressful moments in the kitchen. Ha! Click through to see how it all turned out.
With a little over a week until Christmas, I wanted to put together a really big list of DIY gift ideas for the holidays before it gets too late. Only 2 weekends left! How is that even possible?!
I may have gotten a little carried away though because I almost fell asleep putting it together. Ha!For real though! There are so many good DIY gift ideas on the list this year – 63 projects to be exact! So there will be no excuse for not finding something to make for a friend or family member this holiday season.
Alright, roll up those sleeves and open up that crafting drawer! Here are 63 really good DIY gift ideas for the holiday season! P.S. I’m also dying to know what your favorite gift you ever received is! I shared mine after the jump, and I’d love to hear yours too.
I couldn’t wait another day – have to share this giant wreath project NOW! I made a (seriously) giant DIY wreath for the studio yesterday and I didn’t plan to turn it into a tutorial initially. But when it was done, I loved it so much, I couldn’t resist. I mean, it’s over 3 feet tall and costs less than $10 to make (not including flowers), so I felt like it NEEDED to be shared.
I think what I love most about this one is that you can make it whatever you want – keep it asymmetrical or cover the entire frame with greenery, add fresh flowers or leave it minimal, you can even change the size and shape to fit your space. Wanna make your own? Click through for the step by step instructions.
After the women’s holiday gift guide, it only felt fair to balance things out with a giant men’s gift guide! I’ve been bookmarking some of my faves for the last few weeks, and while this list isn’t quite as big as the ladies GG, it’s still packed with goodies, in every price range. I think the lowest priced item is $4.95! And there are more than 50 gifts on the list. Click through to see them all!
