Thinking Inside the Box?

Things are crazy around here, so I won’t be able to post a tutorial today. But I am working on a lot of projects right now, so there will be plenty lined up for the coming weeks.

Anyway, I wanted to leave you today with an installation entitled Rita’s Room, that I found via Share Some Candy. Obviously, this wouldn’t be very practical for most, but there are definitely some bits and pieces that would be perfectly usable in an interior space that is desperate for some personality. Like that side table next to the couch (right image) for example. This could easily be made with some plywood, paint, and a little of creativity. And would be an instant conversation piece.

What do you think? Would you consider having one of these pieces in your home?

rachel!

I often wish that more attention was given to installation art. Such a fascinating medium! And installations with practical applications are a plus too! Thanks for sharing.

I would totally hang the painting in my home! It would be fun and snarkily ironic 🙂
