Travel in Style: Neutral Must-Haves

travel-style

At this point, I am starting to feel like a travel pro, at least when it comes to flying, because in the last month alone, I’ve flown across the country four times – two round trips from Florida to Jacksonville and back again. I know lots of people don’t like to fly, my husband included, but for me, as long as I’m wearing comfy clothes and have lots of things to keep me entertained on the flight, I don’t really mind long flights.

Oh yeah. And there’s one other thing that is an absolute must for me when it comes to travel…packing light! I personally hate checking a bag, so I only bring what I can fit into a carry-on. Simple as that. Needless to say, this often proves to be challenging, especially when I’m packing for a long trip. So I get pretty creative with it…as in ‘wearing a pair of chunky wedge shoes on the plane because they won’t fit in my suitcase but you know I’m not leaving without them’ creative.

Seriously though, aside from those travel-musts, I have a handful of essentials that I bring with me on pretty much every trip – which keeps me sane while packing a tiny suitcase to the brim (a big bag for toting things around, my watch, a comfy dress, sunglasses, a couple of my favorite jewelry pieces, and a great pair of shoes)..

  1. Rugby Striped Dress
  2. Color Block Cold Picnic Watch
  3. Hepcat Shades
  4. Arcos Earrings
  5. Crosstown Moving Mountains Bag
  6. Cork Wedge Sandals
  7. Round Faceted Ring

Okay, so now that you know my style essentials, you have a chance to win some pretty awesome prizes (including a HP Envy 4 Touchsmart Ultrabookâ„¢) to bring your own style to life. Pretty cool, huh? I love this collection!

I 100% agree with you McKenna. And the sunnies are pretty affordable too – around $50 I think (the shoes not so affordable, but I still love them).

Have fun on your vacation Hannahbelle. And let me know if you get that Rugby dress. It could double as a coverup if you’re headed to the beach.

I work at J.Crew — the Rugby dress has never interested me much but after seeing your pairing with the neutrals I might have to get one — it looks so cute, chic, and casual with the neutrals! This is the first time I’m going on vacation in a loooong time and I can’t wait. I am going to get one of those big hats, too, for the beach!
