As some of you may know, I recently moved from Seattle and took a road trip with Jeff to Florida. Yep, we drove all the way across the country with our dog Luna and our cat Nuggies. And we are now in Florida for a month or so, visiting family, before moving to ___? ___. Well, we haven’t actually figured out where we are moving yet. Crazy, I know!? But we have a pretty good idea. For now, I’ll just keep my lips shut though, Â just in case we change our minds again.
But before we jumped in the car and hit the road, I spent three days in Indianapolis at the Delta Makers event. The super kind people at Delta Faucet flew me out, put me up in a nice hotel for the event, and took all of us to the yummiest dinner ever (with like 6 or 7 courses – woah!).
It was a little tough being away days before we were scheduled to leave Seattle (and I left Jeff all by himself with the movers while I was gone), but I am really glad I went! I had a great time. Met some new friends, was able to hang out with Danni (who I had’t seen since Alt), and learned a lot about the creative side of the Delta Faucet and Brizo brand, which is part of the Delta family. Here are a few photos from my trip to Indianapolis…
 Virginia, Sarah, and Danni
Delta headquarters
Original branding (which I love) and the coolest man glasses ever
Yummy little treats throughout the day
Inside one of the showrooms. That is one sexy faucet.
A horrible photo of the the creamer containers from the restaurant. I loved ’em so much, I asked the waitress where they bought them. She said they actually sell them occasionally if I was interested. I said “done”. It was weird and awesome. So I have one of these now.
Flew home to Seattle and we left in the car the next morning, Florida-bound
I’ve already shown you some photos of my roadtrip, so here’s where we left off (Seattle though Colorado photos are here)…
Going through Kansas
Cool lighting at a yummy BBQ spot in Kansas City
Said a quick hello to St. Louis
Caught the cuddling car buddies in the act
Stopped in Atlanta for the Fourth – went to Six Flags and Jeff’s phone flew out of his shirt pocket on this ride. Bye-bye phone!
Arrived in Jacksonville
And because we are actually staying just outside of Jacksonville in Atlantic Beach, we get to ride our bikes everyday and go to the beach when we need a work break. Yay!
Oh, and one more thing. I am really excited to announce the last thing that I’ve been up to lately…

Hi Gabrielle. You’re so sweet. Thank you! The graphic at the very top of this post is made up of several of my photographs, that I dragged into a program called Pixelmator (similar to Photoshop but way cheaper) and edited it from there – cropped the photos into shapes, added text and arrows, etc. Hope that helps! And here’s the link to Pixelmator in case you’re interested: http://www.pixelmator.com/

Seth & Toni (@mursday)Hey Amy! Absolutely. I think the restaurant is actually in Carmel. It’s called Divvy and if you’re going to head out there, I recommend grabbing a bite too. The edamame hummus and corn creme brulee are delicious! Here’s the link: http://www.divvycarmel.com
papernstitchHi Brittni! I’m from Indy and am just curious what restaurant you went to that had the little creamer containers? They’re adorable!
AmyThanks so much Leah. Good luck on the job interview!

Whoo-hoo, gold star for me! 🙂 It sounds like you’ve been up to a lot, Brittni; glad you’ve been having a good time, though. Thanks for all the pictures! Can’t wait to hear about your moving decision. I’m sure whatever it is will be a good one.
Me, I was planning an Etsy shop… but that took a twist (I didn’t want to sell something made out of what I discovered isn’t that great a quality yarn) and is now on hold. So I wrote some “brain blurts” (aka morning pages) and after that, I wrote a blog post. 🙂 And it’s only 9:15am here! Feeling pretty productive. I got a call back about a job, which is very exciting for me… new experience and a paycheck? Whoop-whoop! Of course I still have to land the interview, but for now I live in optimistic hope.
Also, congrats on your new contributor column! 🙂
