This pumpkin spice cream cheese is perfect for spreading on your morning bagel. But it also pairs nicely with graham crackers, apples, ginger snaps, cinnamon bagel chips, muffins, and more.
A fall pumpkin spice cream cheese recipe perfect for when you’re craving fall flavors, but also need something quick and easy.
With the cooling fall temperatures, my mind starts dreaming of pumpkin pie and fall deserts. Everything from pumpkin spice lattes and pumpkin muffins, to pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, even candy pumpkin cups (one of my fave fall treats). You name it, there’s probably a recipe for it! But who has time to make it all from scratch?
That’s where this pumpkin recipe really shines. It’s all the flavors of autumn – pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla – packed into every bite. So, if you’re short on time or just want a lower calorie option than say pumpkin cupcakes, for example, you’ve gotta try this pumpkin spice cream cheese recipe. You won’t regret. Great for parties too!
This recipe makes roughly 8 servings.
Ingredients
- Organic cream cheese: Room temperature is best. So let it thaw out a bit or toss in the microwave for 10-15 seconds beforehand.
- Organic pumpkin puree: Personal preference is key here, so feel free to use more or less depending on your taste.
- Organic powdered sugar: This gives the spread some extra sweetness.
- Organic pumpkin pie spice: Don’t have pumpkin pie spice? No worries, you can make your own with cinnamon, ground ginger, allspice or cloves, and a dash of nutmeg. The exact measurements are included in the recipe card below, if you need it.
- Organic vanilla extract: And the vanilla brings it all together.
How to Make Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese
1. In a large mixing bowl, whip cream cheese and the pumpkin puree with an electric mixer and mix until smooth and uniform in color.
2. Gradually add the powdered sugar to the cream cheese mixture (about 1/3 cup at a time).
3. Add in the pumpkin pie spice and vanilla and mix until smooth and all ingredients are completely combined.
4. Transfer to a container and let chill for an hour.
Notes
If you’d like to make a lighter version, use low fat or fat free cream cheese. Also, if you can’t find organic ingredients, don’t sweat it, just use what you’ve got. *Recipe slightly adapted from Better Homes & Gardens.

JamieIt is really tasty Becca. When I was taking the photos for Amanda’s recipe, I couldn’t resist trying some (dipped apples slices in the cream cheese) and it was really good. Amanda definitely knows what she is doing in the kitchen! Thanks for stopping by.
