A Colorful DIY Sorbet Bar with 3 Limited Ingredient Recipes

You guys…I’m so excited about summer, I can hardly contain myself. And add to that the fact that my birthday is in two days, and I’m basically in some kind of sweet spot heaven. So, to celebrate, I’m throwing myself a teensy tiny sorbet party with a little help from my friends at Zevia, a sugar free zero calorie soda that I am totally hooked on. Even better, Zevia is available in 15 flavors that are naturally sweetened with stevia and contain no artificial colors or artificial sweeteners!

The fun and games isn’t just for my benefit though… this little shindig is complete with not one, not two, but THREE sorbet recipes, all included after the jump. So keep reading to get your sorbet on all summer long! By the way, all of these sorbet recipes are insanely easy – you won’t need an ice cream maker, just a blender and you’re good to go.

AND if you want to win some Zevia of your own, for you and a friend, be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post for your chance to win one of 50 (yep, 50) Zevia 6-packs!

All three of these sorbet recipes are vegan and diabetic friendly (just like Zevia is), which I’m kind of pumped about because they taste delicious, so everyone can enjoy ’em. And they’re low calorie too. Here are the recipes…

A Colorful DIY Sorbet Bar with 3 Limited Ingredient Recipes

Grapefruit Sorbet

Ingredients:

4 grapefruits // 1 can of Grapefruit Citrus Zevia // 1.5 tablespoons of stevia

Instructions:

First, remove the skin from the grapefruits, then place all of the grapefruit flesh into a blender. Blend until combined, and set aside. Next, add the Zevia and stevia to a small sauce pan and bring to a boil, while stirring continuously. Pour into a medium sized bowl and then set aside and let cool. Once the Zevia mixture has cooled, add the grapefruit mixture, and place in the freezer. Scoop out when ready to serve.

Lemon Lime Sorbet

Ingredients:

4 lemons // 3 limes // 1 can of Lemon Lime Twist Zevia // 1.5 tablespoons of stevia

Instructions:

Remove the skin from cut lemons and limes and place into a blender. Blend until combined and set aside. Next in a small sauce pan,  add the Zevia and stevia, and bring to a boil while stirring continuously. Pour into a medium sized bowl and then set aside and let cool.
Once the Zevia mixture has cooled add the lemon and lime mixture, and place in the freezer. Scoop out when ready to serve.

Strawberry Sorbet

Ingredients:

1 -16 oz bag of frozen strawberries // 1 cup of strawberry Zevia // 1 tablespoon of stevia (a natal sweetener extracted from plant leaves)

Instructions:

This one is the easiest out of the three and my fave, if I could only choose one. To make it, just place all of the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Alternatively, you could also use a food processor over a blender if desired. Place sorbet in the freezer overnight. Scoop out when ready to serve.

Quick Tips for the Sorbets:
Once the sorbet is frozen, add it back in to the blender and blend until smooth, if you have any trouble scooping it straight from the bowl. *Soak the bowl in warm water to help release the sorbet from the bowl, if necessary.

Sorbet Floats

And if you’re not a cone or cup kind or sorbet girl (or guy), try a sorbet float instead. Yum! My fave combo is strawberry sorbet and Cream Soda Zevia.

And these floats look so delish! I mean, it’s a plus that they’re bright & happy & colorful, but they sound sooooo good too! That strawberry sorbet is calling my name!
