If there was such a thing as a unicorn ice cream cone, I think it would look just like this.
A long, LONG time ago, I made these color blocked donuts with edible color mist. They’re still one of my most popular food posts ever (who doesn’t love colorful donuts?!). And I’ve been itching to do another project like that one ever since.
Soooo….. Meet the sister to those donuts: the gradient unicorn cone. Well, I’m still working on the name. So you can call it whatever you want. But it’s pink and purple and sprinkley, so for now, I’m going with unicorn cone.
How do you make one of these? Once you have the edible spray, it’s super easy. All you need is some soft serve ice cream in a cone (regular ice cream would work too, but won’t look much like a unicorn horn), edible color mist in at least two colors (I used pink and purple and you get color mist on Amazon), and some sugar sprinkles.
Spray the color mist onto the soft serve in different directions, add sprinkles, and eat that thing up!

P.S. There is a part of me that thinks that this gradient cone looks a little bit like the new Instagram logo. And I’m REALLY curious to know what you think of their new look?! Some people love it, and some people are hating on it. HARD. So, I’m curious to know where you are on the spectrum with this one?
