Butter yellow is the color of the season, when it comes to fashion. But what about butter yellow interiors?
Whether you’re nay or yay on this color trend, one thing is for sure. It’s made its way into a whole lot of homes. Maybe it’s because it feels like a neutral, while still being a color? Or maybe it’s just because people love butter…and yellow is so cheery?
Whatever the reason, there are some seriously stunning spaces jumping on a mellow yellow color palette.

This bathroom is dreamy! The butter yellow vanities, with inset drawers, are stunning.

There’s a certain sweetness to this room and the buttery yellow paint color has soooo much to do with it.

Here’s another view of the same room. You can see it better in this view, imo, that the yellow really does compliment the space. It picks up on some of the colors of nature, just outside the window.

Everything about the pint-sized foyer, designed by Elina Mussakulova, is charming – from the ceiling to the floors. Carrying a muted yellow from the walls to the floor tile ties the space together effortlessly.

Obviously, I love the yellow built-in here. But what I’m most struck by with this entryway nook is the clever use of space. Form and function with plenty of storage! Even the space behind the seating area goes unwanted, with hooks for jackets and bags.
Years ago, I did a renter-friendly bathroom makeover that turned a boring builder-grade space into this cheery yellow bathroom. I used removable wallpaper and switched out what I could (mirror, lighting, shelves, etc).

You can tell the kiddo who sleeps here loves yellow! This adorable London kids room mixes multiple shades of yellow for a layered look with plenty of depth (and whimsy).
