Do you ever impulse-buy a DIY supply item that you never thought you needed…And then you take it home and try it out and you wonder how you went so long without it? That’s how I feel about wood burning tools.

Have you ever used one? ‘Cause they’re kind of awesome. Especially when you spring for the alphabet hot stamps to go with it.

After playing around and getting used to how the tool works, I immediately jumped into DIY projects, including this one I created for wood burned message trays. They’re great for picnics and parties and really easy to customize on your own. Catch my full tutorial on Project Wedding.

This is such a cute idea! I feel like there are a lot of possibilities with the wood burning too! Maybe even little wooden trinket boxes.

Yeah, the alphabet stamps make things way easier. Give it a try!

Ahhh I recently just got one! I had no idea that they had alphabet stamps too! Thank you!

Thanks Ujjaini and Anna. 🙂

Thanks Paige. I love wood burning projects now too. So fun to try.

I LOVE wood burning! There are so many possibilities for projects. Nice job!

Awesome, Arielle. Something wood burned would be great as a holiday gift…good thinking.

I have totally already saved this for later! these would help in so many fun christmas diy projects and gifts!

a simple elegance

You should, Kel. With the letters, it’s SO much easier to manage. Then you can use the other tool attachments strictly for pattern work, instead of having to write a word out with the chisel tip, for example, which is (at least for me) more difficult.

I am majorly impressed with your wood burning skills. I gotta get some of those letter stamps and try ’em out!!
