When it comes to decorating, there is one thing that is near and dear to my heart. One thing that is an absolute MUST where ever I am living (rental or not): artwork.
If money were no object, I would most definitely have a massive art collection. But since I’m not currently rolling in dough, DuckTales style, I’ll have to settle for daydreaming about my ultimate art collection, for now. Starting with art inspiration from these amazing interiors…
(above) Loving this large painting from Oscar Perry in this Melbourne house.
Love the abstract piece on the left here.
Plenty of cool pieces in the Oh Joy studio.
An art corner from Designlovefest (on Style Me Pretty).
The home of Kirra Jamison is filled with great art pieces.
Curious to know… On a scale of 1 to 10, how important is art to you, when it comes to decorating your home? What pieces would you have in your dream art collection?

I love these shots! As an artist I always have colorful prints and paintings in my house but the place I am currently renting does not allow holes in the walls. So stacking frames and finding alternate ways to showcase art has been a challenge!
Adri Lunalove love love all the colorful and happy art! I also LOVE the colorful rugs and am coveting them all! Any idea where they are from? Thanks for sharing the happy post!
Dianne ConnerOMG. Art is SOOO important! Of course, I need a lot of $$$ to get the pieces that I want. Even now, while we are renting, I like to have at least one statement piece that helps me feel “at home”. 🙂
Lexy | The Proper PinwheelI will never forget about Ducktales, Amalia. 🙂 It was one of my faves when I was a kid.
BrittniAhhh ducktales – I forgot about that show. Beautiful interior shots. I recently decorated my rental and it’s changed everything!
AmaliaGlad you like the roundup, Jay.
BrittniWhoa some awesome interiors! So bright and filled with color!
JayThat 2nd photo. I can’t EVEN handle it. If money were no object, I’d have a giant abstract piece like that one. As well as a large photo from Gray Malin, I think! Right now, I’m a big fan of framing beautiful cards as art… an affordable route to go! =)
Kelly @ Studio DIYArtwork became more and more important to me over the years. I do see it as a decorative element but also as a kind of investment. I am a big fan for expressionism so almost everything from that time period is great but I particularly love the paintings of Kirchner.
