It’s been over 90 degrees here for the last couple of days and as much as I want to stay inside in the air conditioning to keep from melting into a puddle, sometimes you just have to go out in the sun and embrace the heat. As insanely hot as it may be.
So, we spent some time outside and came up with anew striped nail DIY, perfect for hot summer days. Click through for the step by step tutorial.
Materials
- clear base coat
- 2 contrasting nail polish colors
- small paint brush
- clear top coat (this one is my fave)
Instructions
Prep your nails with a clear base coat.
Next, paint each nail with a base color. We went yellow. I love these yellow nail polishes if you need suggestions… OPI Twin Mimmy // China Glaze Sunshine Pop // China Glaze Daisy Know My Name.
Once dry, apply a new nail polish color with a very small paint brush. We used pink. Here are some pink nail polishes I’m loving right now… Sally Hansen Pink Blink // L’Oreal Paris Pink Me Up // Essie Pink Glove Service.
Use the paint brush to create stripes in multiple directions on each nail. Repeat this process with each nail.
Once nail polish is dry, add a clear top coat. And you’re good to go.
