Last year, I decorated a couple of pumpkins with metallic paint pens. And this year, I did it again. Its a lot less messy than carving and the possibilities are as endless as your imagination. Definitely a safe activity for kids from start to finish as well.
I just used a couple of metallic paint pens (silver and gold) to create different designs…
Now I have so many pumpkins, I am not sure I’ll have time to decorate them all!
If I was hosting a party or something, I would definitely give them away as party favors (maybe even customize each one with the person’s name for example). Great for kids parties especially!

This is so funny, I just saw theses tiny white pumpkins at my local market and was wondering what to do with them. Especially to make them look more “Halloweened”.
FanieNow, I know! 🙂 So thank you for this nice & easy tutorial.
Oh, that’s great Fanie. YEah, these mini pumpkins are great. And the best part is they were only $1 a piece, so very inexpensive as well!

Heidi RohrCan you tell me where you found the metallic sharpies? I’ve been having trouble locating any.
JessieOf course Jessie. I found them at Jo Anns. They had several thicknesses and colors as well. But if you cant find them there or you don’t have a Jo Anns or another similar craft/hobby store nearby, you can get them on amazon right here

DollyGreat idea. Yesterday I saw where someone had painted several pumpkins with blackboard/chalkboard paint, all over. Then got the kids to draw faces on with chalk. They were all so different and the kids had a blast with the project. Wish I had thought to take pictures.
