A Blood Orange Grapefruit Mimosas Recipe

Blood Orange Grapefruit Mimosas Recipe

Blood oranges are only in season a little while longer. So to keep the Memorial Day weekend party vibes going and get my blood orange fix before they’re no longer available, I have a cocktail recipe for you that is easy as can be. Blood orange grapefruit mimosas with an extra kick.

The tartness of the grapefruit and blood orange, mixed with a little something sweet, is bringing this recipe to the top of my summer list. Click through for the recipe. Happy Tuesday!

Blood Orange Grapefruit Mimosas Recipe

Ingredients (makes one drink)

  • 3 oz of grapefruit juice (fresh squeezed or bottled)
  • 1 oz of fresh squeeze blood orange juice
  • 3 oz of champagne
  • 1 oz of vodka
  • 1 oz simple syrup (homemade or store bought)
  • 1 sprig of thyme

Blood Orange Grapefruit Mimosas Recipe

Mix grapefruit juice, blood orange juice, vodka, thyme, and simple syrup together. Stir. Then pour champagne over the top.

Quick note… I made my own simple syrup, which is insanely easy. Just bring 1 part water and 1 part sugar to a boil in a medium saucepan. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
