So….Today is my 31st birthday and the fact that I’m officially creeping into ‘my 30s’ now means that I will also be creeping (big time) into some cake, to soften the blow of getting old. Okay, okay. I’m really that bummed about it, I just want an excuse to eat an inappropriate amount of cake. Let’s face it.
Anyway, whatever the reason… instead of the typical DIYs this week, I have an all cake roundup to celebrate. And because I didn’t feel right about discriminating, couple of cupcakes have also been included for good measure.
1. (above) Vanilla Cake with Homemade Salted Caramel Sauce
2. Sprinkle Cake with DIY Dried Fruit Flower Cake Toppers
3. Angel Food Cake with Fresh Blueberry Whipped Cream
7. And a ‘Yum’ cake to finish things off.

BrittniI had a much harder time with my 31st birthday than my 30th. My 30th was a breeze! But when I turned 31 I knew there was no turning back and no thinking, “well, my 20’s were only a year ago”. But on the bright side, the bummed feeling doesn’t last, and being in the thirties is kind of awesome once you get over the growing (older) pains!
