Getting my polka dot on today with a new nail tutorial that I’m pretty in love with. It’s really simple, but looks kind of fancy. And since I’ve been on such a pattern kick anyway, this one was bound to happen eventually.
Here’s how to give yourself polka dot nails on your own at home…
Materials:
- clear base coat
- 4 nail polish colors of your choice
- dotting tool or tooth pick
- clear top coat
Instructions:
Start by prepping your nails with a clear base coat. Next, paint each nail with your chosen base color. Once dry, apply one color of dots at random on each nail (using a toothpick or a dotting tool). Repeat this process two more times, each with a different color of nail polish, being sure to wait for the coat before it to dry fully before starting the next coat. Once nail polish has dried, paint each nail with a clear top coat.

Matt S.Happy to hear you like it, Lana. Rachel did a great job with the nail design, once again. 🙂

Lana RedHaha. I hear ya, Sharon…though I do think this design could be adapted to any age and style, it’s probably not for everyone. 🙂
BrittniI’m not steady handed enough, or young at heart enough for these nails! But love that you are. They have a place in this world~
Sharon / tptAwesome Michelle. Happy to hear that.
