Fabric Envelope Tutorial

By Brittni • posted on 02/12/2024

envelopes_de_tecidoIt seems there is always someone on your holiday list that you forget about until the very last minute (or maybe add on to your list at the very last minute). And its hard to find a gift for said person in such a short time. Of course there’s always the go-to last minute shopping idea of gift certificates. But they seem a little unthoughtful sometimes. So what is a girl to do?

Luckily Alice of Nouss Nouss has us covered. Make up a batch of these fabric envelopes, shove that gift card inside along with a thoughtful note or card. And you are done! Now you’ve added a handmade touch to your gift and no one will question the amount of time or thought that went into it. I promise. And for an extra special touch, you can wrap the fabric envelope in twine and add a cute name tag, like this one from Nice Package.

For the full tutorial for how to make fabric envelopes, visit Alice’s blog to download the pdf. P.S. Alice is also today’s shop of the day, so stick around for more about Nouss Nouss later today.

Sorry Elise. This post was written over a year ago and it looks like the blog owner has changed their blog quit a bit since then. I looked everywhere for the project again, but I couldn’t find it there. BUT I did find a similar tutorial elsewhere: http://incolororder.blogspot.com/2010/07/fabric-envelope-tutorial.html
Hope that works for you. Have a great weekend.

The links for the fabric envelope don’t seem to be working 🙁

I would like to say that this post really forced me to do so! I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.

Neat! This is a great idea. I’m not a fabric person, but it makes me want to run out and find some pretty stuff to start hording! Haha
