Make This: DIY Feather Barrette Holiday Gift

Holiday Gift DIY // feather barrette

Being that Christmas is exactly three weeks from today, I need to get into the gifting spirit as soon as possible. Which means I’ll most likely be DIYing my heart out over the next few weeks. So, if you’re in the same boat as me, making presents for everyone on your list, I have a DIY that might be of help…

Make this (glitter) feather hair accessory as a gift for a friend for the holidays. *I wear my hair up nearly everyday of the year, so if you know someone who does the same, this would be a perfect gift for them.

Or make one for yourself – it will look cool with your holiday dress. I promise.

this is super cute and a sure hit for the holidays, but what could be worse than offering an adorable hand made barette to one of your trendy cousins and having her be like “OMG did these feathers come from factory farmed birds?!” Take your DIY, non-consumer gifting to the next level by sourcing your feathers from a fellow DIY, non-consumer! https://www.etsy.com/shop/RabbitFeathers

Thanks Stacia. Let me know if you make any. I’d love to see how yours turns out.

I love how delicate and fun this barrette is. I don’t normally like barrettes, but I might just have to make some of these.

Thanks Jenna. I wasn’t sure how it would turn out, with the feathers being so light and airy, but the glitter actually sticks really well. Definitely will be making more of these.

The glitter is beautiful on feathers! I will have to try this for some of my shoots 🙂
