Summer cocktails are a must for the hotter temperatures. And these 17 sippers are not only delicious, they’re also beautiful to look at.
An occasional summer cocktail during the hottest months of the year can really hit the spot. Especially when the list of to-dos is short and there’s a little time to relax and spend time with friends. And in my search for the perfect cocktail recipes for this time of year, I’ve stumbled upon a whole bunch (17 to be exact) of delicious drinks that would be perfect for summertime get-togethers.
There are so many good recipes to try, but if we’re picking favorites… Number 7 and 13 on the list are probably the most intriguing flavor combos, if you’re looking for something unique. Summertime recipe number 4 is the perfect cocktail if you’re also a little hungry (heavy on the edible garnishes) and number 2 is just my all-time favorite summer cocktail. Click through for all 17 drinks to beat the heat.
Summer Cocktails
1. To get us started, here’s a spicy peach margaritas recipe from Alyssa Ponticello. Look at that hibiscus salt rim. So pretty!
2. A mango rum punch recipe that is almost too pretty to drink. But once you try it, you’ll want another. It’s genuinely so good and perfect for summer parties.
3. This orange coconut creamsicle drink from Healthy Little Peach can be a mocktail OR a cocktail.
4. Or what about a grilled bloody mary, like this one from Honestly Yum? The garnishes alone are enough to get me making one of these. It’s the type of drink that you order when you’re a little hungry.
5. Clementines make the prettiest color drinks imo and this mezcal margarita from Le Petit Eats is the perfect shade of orange.
One of my favorite restaurant margaritas is very similar to this one, but uses Ojai pixies instead of clementines. Highly recommend!
6. This grapefruit cucumber cooler tastes like it’s straight from the spa, but with a little extra kick. The cucumber ribbons are a nice touch too, if you’re hosting a dinner party or a pool day with friends.
7. Is anyone else curious to know what this arugula, tomato, and lime juice cocktail from Feed Feed tastes like? It looks so refreshing. And that green is such a pretty color.
8. Pretty in pink – a strawberry basil margarita from Our Salty Kitchen would hit the spot any day.
9. What about an alcoholic slushie? Maybe a frozen aperol spritz is in your future. The combination of passionfruit, mango, and aperol is delicious – the perfect blend of bitter and sweet.
10. Technically this is a spring negroni, but I still this pink cocktail from Join Jules qualifies for summer sipping. Don’t you?
11. Admittedly, I love any cocktail with elderflower and this hugo spritz from Healthy Little Peach has it. This is the the summertime cocktail recipe that I picture being served at the pool of a fancy hotel.
12. Another option for the combo of tart and sweet cocktails, is this blood orange mimosa. Very quick to whip up.
13. Does anything sound more summer-inspired than a tomato margarita from Kayla’s Kitchen and Fix. This cocktail also contains a homemade tomato simple syrup and that just sounds incredible to use in all kinds of summertime drinks.
14. Colorblocked peach cocktails? Is there anything more in line with summer cocktails than that?! Made with fresh peaches, you can make this slushie boozy or alcohol-free.
15. Cucumber and melon aren’t meant for each other. Just like this cocktail from The Social Sipper.
16. Who doesn’t love a summer punch cocktail? This one is easy as can be and delicious too.
17. Grapefruit lovers, this one is for you. Try this salty dog recipe from Camille Styles.
And that’s it for summer cocktail recipes. Hope you found some new drinks to try.
