11 Drool-Worthy Dining Rooms You’ll Love

Drool-worthy dining rooms that I can’t get enough of!

Minimal but homey dining room vibe

I have a little bit of a confession. And I’m hoping I’m not alone on this one… From the time Jeff and I met almost eleven years ago to literally just last night, we have eaten dinner at our coffee table in the living room nearly every night.

Do we have a dining table. Yep! We sure do and I actually like your dining table / dining room in general. Yet, I can count the number of times we have sat there for more than ten minutes on two hands. 11 years, less than 10 times. And the times we did eat there was mostly because we had company. Is that weird?

I want to be the type of person that sits down to a beautiful home cooked meal at the dinner table. I really do. But our couch is just a lot more appealing for some reason. And since it’s just the two of us, its really easy (and comfy) to just head to the living room instead.

That said, I’m sure there is some dining room inspiration out there that could convince me to give the whole eating at a real table thing a solid try. SO, here are 11 drool-worthy dining rooms that just might convince you (and maybe even me) to stop eating at the living room coffee table…

I see you like one kind of chairs haha! But me too, they are so nice! I still live by my parents, but love to live alone and make my own interior!

Definitely #1, 5 and 6! Sadly my apartment is too small for a proper dining space, but when I have a bigger one I’ll come back to this haha

Ah great! Our space is too small for a proper dining space right now: but damn… I love them!

My fiancé and I are the same! Always eating dinner on the couch. We just moved to an apartment with a built-in table in the kitchen and now we’re getting much better at eating at the table!

Glad you could find some inspiration, Margot. 🙂

Love the light and airy look and feel to these dining rooms. It’s not my house style, but I can definitely appreciate other styles 🙂 Our table is a dark espresso and we have gray chairs to brighten up the room. We eat at the dining room table at least once per week, typically more.

So glad it’s not just me. 🙂 I like the Friday dining room night idea, Anna.

Ah, this is totally us too! Even though we have an actual dining room in our house (a first for both of us), we only use it with company (except currently it is my home office because we’re doing renovations to the entire upstairs including my home office!). It doesn’t help that the kitchen is off the living room, not the dining room. We have grand plans in a couple of years when we can afford it to extend off the dining room and make a big kitchen/diner, and I am pretty sure we’ll start using the dining table then, but when the current reno is over and I’m no longer spending all day in here working, I’m going to instate a Friday night dining room night. I’m even going to light candles! 😀
