3 (Insanely Easy) Breakfast in Bed Ideas for a Low-Key Valentine’s Day

Breakfast in bed

Although I love, love, love putting together DIY projects and recipes for Valentine’s Day, generally as a couple, Jeff and I keep it pretty casual on V-Day. Usually, we order takeout or go out to dinner at one of our normal spots (nothing fancy). And I imagine we’re not the only ones that tend to keep things casual on these holidays.

So, to celebrate that low-key vibe, I partnered with Brooklinen, who I’m now convinced makes the best bedding on the planet (no joke), to share 3 super easy breakfast in bed ideas for V-Day (or any other day, really).

If you’re not familiar with Brooklinen already, they’re an awesome bedding company focused on high quality products that don’t cost an arm and a leg. Yay! All their sheets are made with long-staple Egyptian Cotton. Read more about that here. And you can mix and match colors and patterns to create a unique set you’ll love. We have the luxe hardcore sheet bundle in windowpane, which comes with a duvet cover, sheets set, and pillowcases.

So now that you know the deets, cozy up! It’s breakfast (in bed) time…

(Donuts and Coffee) Breakfast in Bed

1. ‘Pile It On Me’ Coffee and Donuts in Bed

As impractically as it may be to pile a dozen donuts onto a plate and deliver it to your honey in bed, I’m pretty sure you’re going to get a good reaction out of this one. Plus, you can hop back into bed too and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Definitely enough for two!

2. ‘Bowled Over For You’ Yogurt and Granola Bowl

It’s like cereal for grownups! This one is super low maintenance. Just grab some yogurt, fresh fruit, and granola and you’re good to go.

And if you really want to go overboard for V-Day, I’d recommend letter balloons, in addition to breakfast in bed. Then you can shower your love with your love (balloons)…or something like that. Mine actually spell out XOXO and BE MINE, but you catch my drift.

Grapefruit and Bagels

3. ‘You’re My Everything’ Fruit and Everything Bagels

Toast up some bagels, add a little cream cheese and some avocado. Done! I also like the fried egg approach for this one, as another option. Both are delicious..You could also put both halves together and make a sandwich to keep things less messy.

Balloons!

AND if you want to go a little further with these breakfast in bed ideas….add balloons! You can spell at messages with foil letter balloons and shower your love with ‘love’…or something like that. Mine spell out XOXO and BE MINE, but you get the gist.

So that’s it for the breakfast in bed ideas. Which one is your favorite? I’m so curious to know!

And speaking of curious…for anyone wondering about how Jeff and I like our new bedding, I’ll give it to you straight…

After sleeping underneath these sheets for one week, I am completely hooked. We had pretty nice bedding before we switched to Brooklinen (in fact, I’m pretty sure the old sheets we had were more expensive), but I like these SO much more. Jeff said they ‘feel like the weekend’. He for real said that when we went to bed with them on that first night (which I think was a Monday – so that’s a pretty big deal). If you’re in the market for new bedding, this is it!

I can never decide between sweet and savory, KNC. So I usually have a little of both. 🙂

Brittni

Definitely love that last option! I’m a savory breakfast girl.
