So, before I left for my trip, I put together a new flower DIY and was fully prepared to get that written up and posted for today, but I didn’t get back home until late last night and I just couldn’t get it done. It happens, right?
So to tide things over this morning, I’ve rounded up some flower inspiration (DIY and otherwise) and will be sharing that flower DIY next week.ย Here are 8 reasons to love fresh flowers…
1. (above) Love these fuchsia anemones.
2. And this giant DIY bouquet is still one of my favorites.
3.ย Taping flowers to the wall never gets old. It looks so good.
4. Try this $2 mini message bouquet DIY, with newspaper wrap.
5. I need to expand my collection of glass vases, so I can create a flower cluster like this one.
6. And maybe I can use the extras to make a hanging flower chandelier.
7. Grab a few ranunculus and make a colorful boutonniere for special occasions.
8. Or try this alternative floral crown to make a statement.
What do you love most about fresh flowers?ย Is it the way they smell? How they look in your home? The reminder of the outdoors? I’d love to hear your perspective in the comments below.
P.S. I’m also starting work on a another series of flower DIYs soon, so if you have any flower related projects/ ideas that you’d really like to learn how to make, I’d love for you to let me know. The more info I can get the better.

Kaye AlidFresh flowers never get old! They add such a fragrance and beautiful look to any home. I’m also trying to build my glass collection!
Cassandra Monroe | a lifestyle blogI love that it brightens up the room and the beautiful colors also brightens up the mood of the people looking at it ๐ I like that it also signifies a new beginning and the beautiful side of life. If you’re down, just looking at a flower could remind you that some parts of the world may be ugly, but the smallest thing can make it beautiful if you just take the time to recognize it ๐
ArianneHow fun, Kelsey. I had actually played around with creating a Friday flower hashtag as well, but it just wasn’t in the cards at the time. I’ll definitely check yours out though. I love me some flower photos. ๐
BrittniLove this! LOVE IT!
Once spring hits, I try to buy a new, fresh bouquet of flowers every Friday (or Thursday, if I can) evening. Such a great way to end the workweek and begin the weekend. A dose of instant happy, really.
I’ve started hashtagging all my fresh flower posts on Fridays using the #freshflowerfriday hashtag. If you have the inclination to play along, that would be great. If not, you can always browse through the hashtag to find new inspiration ๐ Read more: http://www.lifeoutloud.kelseymcevoy.com/2014/05/freshflowerfriday/
Kelsey McEvoyThanks Kel. I’m looking forward to sharing it.

Kelly @ Studio DIY[…] Yes, to fresh flowers. […]
Friday Favorites no. 026 // links from the week | amelia writes. That’s fun, Alex. Wish I always had fresh flowers at my desk. I do buy flowers a lot, but they almost always end up in my studio room and I don’t go in there much at night (my desk and computer are in another room), so I only get to enjoy them half the time. Ha.
BrittniI absolutely love fresh flowers, they literally make me happy! I always have fresh flowers on my desk!

Pink Elephant Blog (Alex)Good point, Abigail. I would much prefer to freshen up a space with fresh flowers than a oil diffuser or something along those lines.
BrittniI love having fresh flowers in my dorm room-the dorms are not always the best looking/smelling places to live so flowers make my eyes and heart happy!
Abigail HortegasAgreed Moriah. Definitely a great way to cheer someone up and make their day.
BrittniAhh..flowers are my favorite way to cheer me up.

Well, with a name like rose, you pretty much have to like flowers, right? Love that name!
BrittniI love them just for what they are! I love any type of flower!! <3 Love the one wrapped in newspaper!
RoseGood choices, Harmony. I love using newsprint for bouquets. It looks good and it’s a material you probably already have at your house. Can’t beat that.
BrittniNumbers 4 and 6 are my favourite.
Love, love the idea of wrapping a mini bouquet in newsprint.
