This morning I have a super simple DIY for any sweet tooths out there. I snagged a bunch of these plain, wrapped hard candies for some Valentine’s Day goodie bags and thought I should make them a little cuter if I am going to give them out as gifts. So I grabbed my paint pen and got to work, with some golden designs for these plainly wrapped sweets.
Supplies: hard candy (already wrapped) // gold paint pen or edible paint
*Important Note: This tutorial is strictly for decorating candy wrappers not the candy itself. Standard paint pens are NOT food safe, so please be sure not to get paint into contact with the actual candy. If you think paint may come into contact with the actual candy, use an edible paint like this one.
How-To: Just grab your paint pen (or edible paint) and get to work – paint playful designs on the candy wrappers individually (while the candy is still sealed). Wait for it to dry and you’re good to go.
Design ideas…polka dots, stripes, gold hearts, custom message, etc

Haha! I think they DO taste better with the new wrapping. I’m sure of it. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by Joy.
papernstitchThese are so cute! I love that they take cute but plain candies and make them look boutique-y. I bet they even taste better when the wrappers look that cute. 🙂
