Strawberry Fields Forever: A Simple Summer Strawberry Pecan Salad

A strawberry pecan salad, good enough to be named after The Beatles’ song. Haha. Seriously though, this strawberry fields salad is really delicious AND easy to make!

There’s this little restaurant in Atlanta (Folk Art) that has a really good strawberry salad that I always order. Especially during the summer months because it’s light but filling. I’m kind of picky about salads…unless they involve fried chicken. Then, I’m all in.

ANYWAY, when I was putting together meal ideas for a dinner party shoot, I realized that salad I always order would be super easy to recreate at home.

I swapped out a few ingredients from the original, which typically has bacon, tomatoes, etc (I nixed all of those) and added in a few more of my faves (feta and candied pecans).

And now I have a go-to summer salad that is beyond easy to make and is really, really delicious. Click through for the recipe.

Strawberry Pecan Salad Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of candied pecans
  • 3-4 cups of fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup of crumbled feta
  • 8-10 cups spring mix greens or baby spinach
  • 1 cup of balsamic vinaigrette (homemade or store-bought)

Strawberry Fields Salad Recipe

This recipe is incredibly easy. Just wash and slice the strawberries thin(ish) – like three to four slices per strawberry.
And then chop the candied pecans, if desired. I left mine whole for more crunch.
Then combine strawberries, greens, feta, and pecans. Add dressing to taste and serve immediately.

Can I make this salad ahead of time?

While it really only takes 5-10 minutes to throw this entire salad together, you can get that time down even more if you prep some of the ingredients in advance.
So, slice the strawberries and store them in an airtight container until you’re ready to make the salad. Then get them out and toss them in with everything else when you’re ready to serve this strawberry pecan salad to guests.
