Shake What Your Mama Gave Ya: Pop Tart Milkshakes for the Win

Pop Tart Milkshakes!

As adults, homemade pop tarts are infinitely cooler than the ones that come from the box. But when you were a kid, you have to admit, when mom or dad brought home that blue box of goodness, you were pumped. Or maybe it was just me?!

So, today I’m bringing back those young kid vibes with pop tart milkshakes!!! You guys…these are SO good. You have to give one a try. Even if you switch out the boxed variety for a homemade batch.

Pop Tart Milkshakes!

Ingredients (1 serving):

  • 4 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • a splash of milk
  • 1 pop tart in your favorite flavor

Quick Note: I did three flavors of milkshakes…cookies and cream, red velvet, and strawberry. Cookies and cream was my fave!

Instructions:

Chop up one pop tart into small pieces, then add to a blender with 4 scoops of ice cream and a splash of milk.

Blend until there are no lumps. Pour into a glass.

Add a pop tart garnish (of course). I just cut some pieces into different shapes. Done!

Ohhhhh my word. This is amazing! As a poptart loving gal from day one ( I still occasionally buy the ones in the box, just for a treat), this is a recipe I’ll definitely have to try! I love love love the red velvet poptarts & the chocolate chip cookie dough ones! So many choices! 😉

Can’t wait to try it!

Thanks Michelle. The glasses are from the now defunct Kate Spade Saturday collection. You may be able to find some on eBay though? Best of luck searching!

They look so delicious! And where did you get those cool glasses?

The s’mores pop tart would be a great option, Emily. Bet that one would be delicious in a milkshake.

My favorite pop tart hands down is S’mores! I would LOVE to try this, but I’m trying to get into shape, so I probably won’t as it will be a downhill slide into deliciousness…
