It’s no secret that I’m a fan of sweets. A big fan, actually. Evidence here, here, and here. But there is one dessert that I am slightly more obsessed with than normal, at the moment. Macarons!
It has to be one of the most photographable treats on the planet. Am I right?
So instead of putting together a tutorial for these little guys (I had planned to paint them with the same edible paint that I made for the watermelon donuts), I thought I would just style a few photos instead…

It’s really awful hard to make them! Had my first attempt the other day, miserably failed 🙁
LesiaYes, macarons is like obsession. After one it`s not possible to stop. Very tasty pics 🙂
BaibaAh macaroons! I am an experienced baker and I am yet to make them….One of these days!!!
AndreaNow, I’ll just drool over the laptop for a minute….
I love macarons! I actually bought a set to prepare them because I’m a huge baking fan and I always make cupcakes and decorated cakes for everyone. So I thought I’ll try out to make some macarons. I just tried it once and they turned out.. well.. not really good 😀 They were delicious but the texture and de apperience was quite different than the original ones. I should really try it again. Thanks for remembering me! 😀
MarianneCan’t wait to see your next macaron project Lex! That typography one was amazing!
BrittniOh you! Thank you so much for including me in your roundup. I love you! And I love all the other macaron projects you included here! I’m currently working on another mac project. Isn’t it great when we can eat our work?!?!
Lexy | The Proper PinwheelRight? Hard not to get obsessed.
BrittniWho isn’t obsessed with macarons? I wish I had a local place that sold them!
Anna S.Haha. I hadn’t thought of it that way, but you are so right. Best tax deduction, for sure.

Abi SNo – I didn’t make these, Jessica. But I’d love to learn how…I would totally take a macaron class if anyone knows of one.
BrittniI love macarons! They’re so accessible in NYC that I’m taking full advantage of it! Did you make the ones shown in this post?

BrittniIt looks delicious!
LucI hear that, Marlen. I would love to start making my own as well. But for now, they’re easy to buy from someone who knows what they’re doing. 🙂
Brittni:O I am making these immediately! If I actually LEARNED how to make them by myself I’d save sooo much money, haha!
