Valentines cocktails that are so cute you almost don’t wanna drink ’em.

Valentine’s Day is coming up and I haven’t been the best at celebrating it this year. BUT cocktails make everything better… AND today is Galentine’s Day after all. So here’s a V-Day inspired cocktail that will hit the spot, whether you’ve got big plans or you’re staying in.

It’s a spiked cherry lemonade cocktail! And the color is so pretty with this one. It reminds of this pink grapefruit cucumber cocktail (which is so delicious – especially around summertime). Click through for this (quick and easy) Valentine’s Day cocktail recipe.

A pink, candy-obsessed Valentine's Day cocktail recipe. Served over ice in short cocktail glasses, with candy garnish and red straws.

I have shared plenty of DIY valentines gift ideas (49 to be exact), but this cocktail is great for parties or even just a night-in with your valentine. Here’s what you need to make your own pretty, pink cocktail…

Ingredients

  • lemonade: 4 to 5 oz of store-bought or homemade
  • simple syrup: 1 teaspoon
  • vodka: 2 oz
  • grenadine (optional): just a splash
  • nugget ice
  • candy garnish (optional)

Valentines Cocktail Recipe

(makes 1 drink)

1. Combine ingredients.

To make your own Valentines cocktail, combine 4-5 oz of lemonade (store bought or homemade) with 1 teaspoon of simple syrup and 2 oz of vodka. I like vanilla vodka for this recipe, for a slightly sweeter kick.

2. Shake or stir.

3. Add garnish and ice.

Serve over ice and add a teeny tiny splash of grenadine for color, along with candied lemon slices and candy if you have a sweet tooth.

Where to find cute candy cocktail garnishes

Admittedly, this valentines cocktail has super cute garnishes, that really add to the overall look. So I thought it might be helpful to share some sources.

Marshmallow Flowers + Cherry Lollipops

The marshmallow flowers are from Williams Sonoma. They also carry the same cherry lollipops I used. I found the lollipops individually packaged at a local candy store though, so I’m sure you can find them elsewhere if you do some searching.

Candied Fruit

Trader Joes also has great cocktail garnishes. I used candied lemons from TJs and they often have other candied fruit options that would work for cocktails as well.

Any big plans for Valentine’s Day tomorrow? Or for Galentine’s Day today?!
