I’ve been trying to cut back on sugar lately, but on my birthday, which is TODAY, I’m fairly certain that anything goes.
So, I’m rounding up 30 of my favorite sweets to celebrate me turning the big 3-0.
(above) 1. yummy eclairs
3. cake with an ‘eat more cake’ DIY topper
4. toasted marshmallow coconut ice cream
8. strawberry shortcake donuts
11. mini whole wheat chocolate muffins
12. organic peppermint patties
13. 10 minute mini waffle cakes
15. honey peanut butter coconut cookies
16. ombre + color block donuts
18. a pretty palette of donuts
19. cupcakes with DIY fruit loop toppers
20. dairy free maple caramel ice cream with salted chocolate popcorn
23. salt water taffy DIY cupcake toppers + drink stirrers
24. 6 layer chocolate marshmallow cake
25. coffee biscoff bacon donuts
27. strawberries angel food ice cream
30. fancy licorice in edible meringue cups
On a more serious note, I almost can’t believe I’ve now officially been alive for thirty years. In a lot of ways I still feel like a kid, but I guess a part of me feels (slightly) more mature at the same time.
There were so many things that I had hoped to accomplish by 30 that I didn’t – have a book published of my DIY projects, professionally style another author’s book, create a product line, etc, etc. BUT I’m happy with what I have accomplished thus far and will focus on crossing off those ‘yet to accomplish’ to-dos as they come, even if it’s a little late. Look at me, talking like a fancy grown up.
Hope you’re having a good week! I’ll be back tomorrow with some DIYs to try for the weekend.

Lyndsay // Coco Cake Land[…] I had such an amazing trip this last week, and now that I’m headed back home (and back to reality), I’m realizing more and more that this vacation was exactly what I needed. The timing couldn’t have been better – I had just finished up some huge projects (one in particular that I can’t share yet, but am super excited about), was starting to feel completely drained (creatively speaking), and I turned 30.
