Easiest No-Carve Pumpkin Idea: Balloon Dipped Pumpkins DIY

Looking for no carve pumpkin ideas? Try this one!

Balloon dipped pumpkins DIY, with stacked pumpkins piled on top of each other.

In theory, I like the idea of pumpkin carving around Halloween time, but I just can’t bring myself to clean up the mess (and spend the time) to do it. So, I typically stick to no-carve pumpkin ideas instead. And this year, I have a new one that I thought I’d share because it’s SO insanely easy!

I don’t want to toot my own horn or anything, BUT this might just be the easiest no-carve pumpkin tutorial ever. And possibly the quickest too….considering it takes about 60 seconds to complete. Toot toot. Whoops! Want to make your own?

Here’s how to make balloon dipped pumpkins in 60 seconds or less…

Small pumpkins piled up against a wall, with colorful no-carve decorating.

Supplies for Balloon Dipped No Carve Pumpkins

You only need three things to make these pumpkins for Halloween! Here’s what you need…

  • balloons
  • scissors
  • mini pumpkins

Clever No Carve Pumpkin Idea

1. Cut the stem off a balloon, so you’re just left with the larger bulb shape.

2. Pull the balloon over the bottom of a miniature pumpkin. Adjust the balloon to get the desired look. You can pull the balloon all the way up to the top and cover the pumpkin completely or lower it for a ‘dipped’ look.

Would love to try this idea with pattern balloons too, like these marbled ones. What about you?

Pretty simple, right? Here’s how they turned out…

Notes

This works best with small to medium sized pumpkins because the balloons can only stretch so far. So keep that in mind.

Please dispose of the balloons properly they are.dangerous to wildlife.
Many animals mistake them with food and die with a stomach full of balloons.

Wow, these look great. I love that you can choose colours to match your decor AND you can eat/make soup from the pumpkins afterwards! Also, so easy, non messy and safe to do with kids.

Well this is just brilliant. I’m over here trying to get ready for a Halloween shindig that I was roped into hosting (my apartment seems to be the most accessible for the group), with no idea what to get for supplies. Since I’m funding, I’m thinking balloon dipped pumpkins it is!

It doesn’t hurt that they’re adorable.
